2 December 1862 — Exeter House, Roehampton | |
Tuesday. 2nd [December 1862]. I & Con went to London with Shrei: in the poney carriage, we went to Cundall and Downes where we found Blossett & Colins & were photographed. When that was over we all walked to Portland Place where were Lady Alderson & Lady R. Cecil. We had luncheon & talked & sat with Blossett till 3½ when Schr came to fetch us—as we drove in we found a hansom at the door wh was waiting for Monty whom we found had been down the whole aftern. He came & sat a short time in our room & then went off to dine in town. He gave me a beautiful gold pencil case– | |
