Sunday. 5th [December 1869]. I had a bad headache & did not get up all day. Henry went to church in the morning; when he came back he said the snow was a foot deep fallen in the night and that the church was so cold he felt he had caught a chill & by evening he had a bad attack of fever which obliged him to keep his bed & have the doctor the next day or 2– | |
