28 January 1870 — Madrid | |
Friday. 28th [January 1870]. Spanish lesson in the morning & afterwards I spent sometime going about arranging household matters. Just as I was going out in the afternoon Henry brought me some writing to do for him so I did it & afterwards went & fetched Mme Riaño. We went the round of the curiosity shops but did not find much & in the Calle Arenal met Henry at the same shop. Mr Ff dined with us & we went early to bed. | |
