18 February 1870 — Madrid | |
Friday. 18th [February 1870]. Our new carriage being ready Henry & I went out to take a drive in it. We called on the Comyns but did not find them in & went on & took a drive & a walk in the Fuente. In the evening we went to the Opera & asked the De Martinos to our box. I wore at last my dark green velvet with the old paste buttons we had got at Milan. The Opera was Othello. | |
