13 January 1871 — Madrid | |
Friday. 13th [January 1871]. I got up rather late & kept Grau rather waiting. After lunch Ad: & I went out driving & took Henry to the F.O. & back & then went on to leave cards. We met Mr Ff & gave him a lift & got home abt 5. Mr Prat & his bride (a 2nd rate Massan Pss) came to call—also little Juanito Riaño came with a note from his Mama. Mr Ff: dined with us. We did acrostics in the eveng. | |
