15 January 1872 — Madrid | |
Monday. 15th [January 1872]. Pal: came in the morning & did a little more to Henry’s old pictures. Henry & I drove in the afternoon– We had a great many people to our dance– The Duke & Dss de la Torre—of Fernan Nuñez—of Tetuan– A lot of Alfonsists also came for the first time this year– Bedmars, Molins, Martorell &c—also some Carlist—La Romanas & a certain Calderon an ADC. of D. Carlos’s so that we had all parties. I did not get to bed till after 3. We danced the Lancers again with success– | |
