22 May 1872 — Granada | |
Wednesday. 22nd [May 1872]. Morelli arrived at 3 in the morning from Seville. He made his appearance abt 11—we at once took him out to the Alhambra & I began to sketch in the Patio when Henry & Susan insisted upon taking me off to the Moorish towers & showed us the Mezquita wh is close by the Alhambra but belongs to a private individual, & we got back to the hotel to lunch. Susan & I then went to the Adarves for me to try & finish my sketch but we went in to tea & sat by the fire reading. Susan’s face still stiff. | |
