9 March 1873 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 9th [March 1873]. Our wedding day– We went to the concert as usual but it was a disagreeable wet day neither did they play very well & there was rather a disturbance toward the end as people in the galleries hissed some ladies who went out before the end. We stayed to the end & had great difficulty in getting out. Mendes Leals &c dined with us & in the evening Esperanza & I played duetts on harmonium & piano. | |
