6 April 1873 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 6th [April 1873]. Our new attaché the Master of Napier arrived this morning & came to stay with us for a few days till he settles upon a lodging. We went to Monasterios Concert & took the Comyns with us. There was a federal demonstration expected “armed” but it did not come off as the Govt managed to give 2 or 3 of the principal leaders places to keep them quiet. After the concert we left Mr Comyn at the Casino & her at her brothers & came home. Isabel & Federigo Madrazo, Mr Victor Cherbuliez dined with us. | |
