16 June 1873 — Madrid
Monday. 16th [June 1873]. Had a busy morning with Hill “turning out” & settling what we shall take with us to London as we think of starting this day week. I then wrote for Henry & a good many letters. Recd one from Miss Bentley saying she has got safely to Oviedo & was happy. Gato de Lema called to see us & later Mrs Whyte to see about her girls going to England. At 6 Hy & I went to see the Hunts in their new house N. 17 Bishardo & then I fetched Emilia & took her out driving & we took a turn in the Fuente. Henry had his whist party in the eveng—a few friends dropped in.
