15 July 1873 — London | |
Tuesday. 15th [July 1873]. Received my venice china figures & unpacked & washed them. Ivor came to see me the first time I have seen him since our return. Connie came also & they walked off together. At 2 I went with the M. to Dr Ballard’s & had my tooth out. It was a horrid operation & broke I dont know how many times. It took abt ½ to extract altogether. I was very much knocked up & had to lie down all the afternoon– Lady Somers came up to my room to see me. We dined with the Arthur Russells & only met Isabelle de Peyronnet & Mr Newton. | |
