22 October 1873 — Madrid | |
Wednesday. 22nd [October 1873]. I went out at 12 to go to see the Dss de la Torre & from there at 2½ went to Gardeners to have my tooth looked to. He is going to replace me the teeth I have lost & took a mould of my mouth. Found Henry on the sofa when I came in & a letter arrived from Grannie saying Julian has arrived & is with her but very ill with ague fever– Did not go out again. Had visit from the Molins & Baroness de Andilla. Read a great deal to Henry before & after dinner. I dined alone. | |
