10 May 1874 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 10th [May 1874]. My cold was so bad that I stayed in bed all day & only got up at 5 in the evening. The Ayltons & Aurelie called to see me– Large dinner of 16—Valera, Castelar, Emilia Riaño, Llorente, Radolinsky & Ruiz Gomez dined with us– A great deal of talk abt Valeras new story “Pepito Jimenez” which is coming out in the Revista. | |
