9 June 1874 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 9th June [1874]. I woke with a headache so breakfasted in bed & got up abt 11 but had to go & lie on the sofa & only got up to copy a letter for Henry to send by messenger & have a lesson of Esquivel. At 5½ I went out driving & fetched Mrs MacDonell to go with me. After dinner we went to the Presidencia & afterwards to the Bauers. | |
