16 July 1874 — Louvain | |
Thursday. 16th [July 1874]. Got up early & took a walk round the town which is full of curious houses & has a magnificent town hall. We went back to the hotel de Suede & breakfasted & then walked to the Station & went by the 10.30 train. At Cologne we fell in with old Cole & he went with us as far [as] Remagen when he left the train to go to the baths of Neuenehr & we went on to Mayence & put up at the hotel d’Angleterre, dined & retired. | |
