7 September 1874 — Blackheath | |
Monday. 7th [September 1874]. I went up to town with Henry directly after breakfast & he took me by the underground railway for the 1st time I have been. We went to see the collection of old lace shown at S. Kensington Museum & on our way from there to Langham House met Mrs Sickles & Mr Adye & we stopt & spoke to them. We then went on to Lang. Hse & there met Kitty who lunched there with Cecil, Nelly & the new baby. They were on their way to Dieppe. She & I & Nelly went out shopping & then returned to L. Hse had tea—& Henry & I went back to Blackheath. | |
