Tuesday. 6th [October 1874]. Copied for Henry. I had a painting lesson—began to do some fruit &c. Fitch, Mirecki & Mr d’Antas the new Portuguese minister, called also Hatzfeldt who brought his wife, an American & pretty, to see me. Emilia & Mariquilla came to tea. The Riaños dined with us. Vernouillet & Chaudordy came in the evening. | |
