15 October 1874 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 15th [October 1874]. We have changed our hours & now breakfast at 11. & dine at 7.30. Wrote letters till breakfast. Esquivel gave me a lesson in painting & at 3 I went out & fetched Emilia. It was a rainy day. Henry went to Quesedas to hear the trios– Maffei called. O’Conor dined with us & we took him to the Presidencia in the eveng. | |
