Thursday. 22nd October [1874]. I was not much better & got up late. Mr O’Conor came up & talked of his engagement to Mme de Tayle. I went out & left cards & went to see Brehm & get him to prescribe for me. In the eveng Henry & I played backgammon & mandola & I went to bed early leaving Henry to go alone to the Presidencia. | |
