10 November 1874 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 10th [November 1874]. The Bishop of Gibraltar arrived in the morng from Cordoba to stay with us. I had such a headache that I could scarcely sit thro’ breakfast & had to retire to my room for all day being very ill. In the evening I got better & got on the sofa in the boudoir by the time the gentlemen had dined. The Bishop’s name is Sandford. He seems a quiet little man & anxious to do all he can. | |
