19 December 1874 — Madrid | |
Saturday. 19th [December 1874]. Went out & fetched Emilia at 3.30 & we went to do some shopping & then to pick up Henry who was walking. It was a bitter cold. As Mr Riaño was gone to Grenada to see his mother we brought Emilia home to dinner with us & she stayed working till ten. Maffei having come to call we also asked him to stop & dine. Went to the Ulloas in eveng. | |
