2 April 1875 — Madrid | |
Friday. 2nd [April 1875]. Painted, Maffei came to announce that he was going to leave as he had recd a telegram saying that Sr Greppi was named Minister here. At 3½ I went to the Dss de la Torre finished a piece of frame work for her & then went out with her. We went to see Emilia & found Mariquilla with her who maintained that the King was very liberal notwithstanding all that had been done abt the Professors. From Emilia’s we went to shop but I bought nothing. | |
