Sunday. 20th [June 1875]. I went to church with Hill at the Palazzo Contarini degli Scrigni– Clergyman Mr Mereweather– High church—light burning before altar—artificial flowers crosses subdued light &c &c !! In the afternoon Henry & I walked to Mr Browns & found him in—came back in the gondola– | |
