9 November 1875 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 9th [November 1875]. Woke with headache. Traced patterns of some old Spanish work wh was brought for sale– Emilia Riaño brought her work & sat with me. Mme d’Antas called having returned yesterday. Abt 6 D. Juan came & fetched Emilia. My head got so bad that after our attempt at dinner I had to go to bed at 8. | |
