28 December 1875 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 28th [December 1875]. I did not go out all day having rather a headache. The Pedrorenas called & we had a long discussion on the behaviour of the ladies of Madrid to me. Afterwards came Lady Walsham & later Serrano called. He said he heard the Govt troops had had slight reverse at Esquieza. Hatzfeldt came later to see Henry & had tea with us. I worked hard & finished the waist coat I am making for Koudriaffsky & sent it to be made up. | |
