Friday. 3rd [March 1876]. Nelly’s 12th birthday & Mr Dawson arrived & came to see us. He has been offered the chaplaincy & has come to see the place before deciding. In the afternoon I & Nelly & Alicia Greindl, Mme Hatzfeldt & Mr Sartoris drove & Henry rode to the Casa del Campo & took a walk there & picked crab apple blossoms. We returned home to tea. | |
