29 March 1876 — Madrid | |
Wednesday. 29th [March 1876]. I went out to breakfast with Dss de la Torre but found both she & Concha were ill in bed so I returned. Count Canelaux breakfasted with us. Later Mr Birch called on his way to see the King in proper eveng costume. Nelly came to draw for Esql. I spent some time downstairs arranging with Jacinta (the porter’s daughter) abt the work of the Repostero. | |
