30 May 1876 — Baveno | |
Tuesday. 30th [May 1876]. Wrote letters & worked. We took a walk up the hills behind Baveno & went to a mill stream where we found some flowers like a kind of wild lily. In the eveng we took Blanche & E out to try & find some fireflies. We found a good many in the damp grass—but there are much fewer than last year. | |
