6 June 1876 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 6th [June 1876]. Arranged rooms. Countess Marcello called on us having come up from the country for the day. We went in the afternoon to Rietti’s where we bought some chairs for our long gallery. We then went on to Murano to show Blanche the glass blowing. Had tea & B read aloud. Dined at 7 & then went out in gondola to return cards on the Edens & we went to Princess Clary’s to pay her a visit– Made acquaintance with her young daughter in law Countess Clary. Home at 11.30. | |
