13 June 1876 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 13th June [1876]. Blanche & Edward, Henry & I went out before breakfast to an old dirty antiquity shop & invested in a lot of odds & ends– The afternoon was sunless & we cd not go to sketch– Henry took the Edens to Murano to see the glass blowing & afterwards brought them here to tea. Mr Edens is a still young man but a cripple with spine complaint. Mr Brown called to invite us to tea on Thursday. | |
