10 June 1877 — Therapia | |
Sunday. 10th [June 1877]. Dr Washburn did the service & I played the harmonium. He did not stay to lunch. After lunch Henry & I, the Genl & Mr Kennedy went out in the caique to Buyukdere & called on Prince & Pss Reuss & then went on the Condouriotis & found them all in. We then went towards the Black Sea & landed at a village under the Genoese castle & walked up to the castle on the hill. It was very hot. The Embassy, Smijth, Elliott, Kennedy, Pisani, Sandison, the Genl & Lady Kemball, Adl Hobart. | |
