18 September 1877 — Therapia | |
Tuesday. 18th [September 1877]. News that the Russians have retaken Shipka & we were all much crestfallen. Mrs W. Hanson took Miss Boyd to play lawn tennis at the Khedive’s garden & then on to Candilli for the night. So I played lawn tennis with Henry & the secys. We made bandages as usual in eveng. Thunderstorm & heavy rain. | |
