20 December 1877 — Constantinople | |
Thursday. 20th [December 1877]. Got up abt lunch as I had to receive Pss Nazlie who stayed from abt 2 till 5. She is going to leave her husband who has softening of the brain & a ship has been sent for her to return to Egypt by her Uncle the Khedive. Mrs de Winton helped to entertain Miss Meyrick & Jerry waited on us. Henry dined with Zichy at a dinner given in honor of Jacub Khan. | |
