25 December 1877 — Constantinople | |
Tuesday. [25th December 1877]. Christmas Day. The Genl, Mr & Mrs de Winton gave me presents. We all went to church. The chapel looked very nice. The Parnis called also M. Fernandez & the Zarifis. We were 28 to dinner. The Barings, de Wintons, Jocelyn, Kennedy, Elliot, Smijth, Leveson Gower, Ct Pisani, Bartlett, Malloy, Mr James, Arthur, 2 student dragomans, Mr Wrench, Barrett, Col.
