11 April 1878 — Constantinople
Thursday. 11th [April 1878]. Mr Leveson Gower was not well & came & sat in my boudoir. In the afternoon Henry & I went out in the Victoria. We called on Mme Fournier & found her at home & were going on to the Reuss when we met him in the street & Henry got out & I went on alone & saw the Pss. When I got home went & took tea in the garden with Mr Smijth & the Genl & Mr L. Gower. The weather changed & it got quite cold. Visitation from Mr d’Ehrenhoff. We had to send Denkley out of the house as he had not been sober for 4 days.
