13 April 1878 — Constantinople | |
Saturday. 13th [April 1878]. Instructed Jerry– Cut out—read– Played tennis with Henry, Mr Smijth & Kennedy. Then took a turn in the garden. Hobart P. came having just arrived from Greece where he has been stopping the insurrection. Said P. came to call & we all had tea in Henry’s study. Mr Smyth & Mr Leveson Gower dined with us. | |
