22 April 1878 — Constantinople | |
Monday. 22nd [April 1878]. Having decided to wind up Ladies & Compassionate Fund I set to work to finish up all the bits. Mrs Arthur came to take me out but it got wet & we cd not go. I played tennis with Messrs Jocelyn & Kennedy & Ld G. Montague. Mr Fernandez called. We had a thunderstorm abt 7 o’clock. Smijth & Kennedy dined & Mr Jocelyn came after dinner & played billiards. | |
