Wednesday. 15th [May 1878]. Still chilly & unsettled. Went in the garden after breakfast with Henry. Then wrote for the post & heard Jerry’s lessons till lunch. Risa Bey called. Mme Yever P. called & M. Issoudun. Had tea out of doors. Played tennis with Henry, Mr Jocelyn & Capt. Stopford. Mr & Mrs Baring & Mr Sandison dined. Telegrams from England & elsewhere very warlike today. | |
