8 June 1878 — Therapia | |
Saturday. 8th [June 1878]. I had such a headache I could not get up. The gale was tremendous. Abt 3 o’cl: as I slept a tremendous noise roused me. I found the outside shutter had got loose & broken the pane of glass near my head. I had to get up & move into another room. The Adl & Mr Winsloe returned. I was not well eno’ to get up for dinner. Telegram from Arthur congrat: on the GCB so I suppose Henry is gazetted. | |
