23 August 1878 — Therapia
Friday. 23rd August [1878]. Sang & played with the d’Ehrenhoffs & Mr Rawson. Made pincushions & arranged the Burr’s rooms & stayed with Ida who had a headache & laid down in my room. At 5. they went with their father down to town in the steam launch which was going to fetch the Burrs who were to arrive by the French steamer. The girls were sorry to leave us after their long stay. Mr Mallet & Mr Kennedy dined with us & played whist with the Admiral in the eveng. We watched for the steam launch but it did not come.
