Thursday. 7th [November 1878]. Painted. At 1 o’cl Princess Halim P. came to see me & stayed to luncheon. Jerry waited upon us at table & Henry had to lunch afterwards but the Pss allowed him to come in to see her before she left. Played tennis. Hatzfeldt joined us. Read & taught Jerry. Mr Smijth dined with us. Sat in Henry’s room in eveng. | |
