28 November 1878 — Therapia | |
Thursday. 28th [November 1878]. I had a bad headache & had to lie down all the morning. The tug wh was ordered at 8 never turned up & at 11 we had to send to Buyukdéré to hire one & it was past 11 before our things set off. At 1 o’cl we went on board the Antelope & lunched as we went down. The Genl & Lady Dickson went down at the same time & the secretaries. The carriage met Henry, May Boyd & me at Dolmabaghcheh & we found on getting to the Embassy that some of our things had already arrived. I had to go to bed abt 7 o’clock. May had tea in my boudoir. Henry went out to dine with the Fourniers & to a party afterwards at Zichys. | |
