20 December 1878 — Constantinople | |
Friday. 20th [December 1878]. Took a singing lesson. May went to Mrs Willie’s again. I did not go out altho’ the weather was lovely as I had the Dorcas meeting here. Mrs J. Millingen, Mrs Pears, Mrs Burness, Miss Select & Miss Lafontain. They stayed about an hour & Miss Boyd came in at the end. Had visits from [illegible word], Mrs Fawcett, Hobart P– He & Baker P., the General & Lady Dickson & Ash: dined with us. | |
