25 February 1879 — En route to Corfu | |
Tuesday. 25th [February 1879]. We had a very rough night of it & it was not easy to keep in ones berth. We reached Corfu in the morng & had to remain there all day as it was blowing hard & even at anchor we pitched so that I cd not remain at table. Sat out all day. Was better & able to go to dinner as weather had improved. Quite calm in the eveng & wrote letters. | |
