7 April 1879 — Aldermaston Court, Aldermaston, Berkshire | |
Monday. 7th [April 1879]. We left Aldermaston & returned to town. Travelled up with M. Arnold & the Poynters. Went to Poynter’s studio with him at the Ken. Museum to see his picture of Nausicaa with her maidens wh is going to the Exhibition. Did not much care for it. Lunched with the M. at Langham Hse & to see Hill who is ill & under the Dr at Lang. House. Went out shopping with Maria on foot & meeting Ivor walked with him. Went to tea at Ham. Hse & then he sent me on to the Charing + Station to join Henry & we went down to Blackheath to stay with Grannie. | |
