Friday. 6th June [1879]. Henry, Alice & I took a ride in the afternoon & we did not get home till past 8 o’cl as Alice rode Softa & ½ way we discovered that the saddle was rubbing him so we had to go at a foot’s pace all the way home. We found Mr Foster & the General waiting for us for dinner. | |
