12 July 1879 — Therapia | |
Saturday. 12th [July 1879]. Alice had her singing lesson & I Turkish lesson. Afterwards we went out & read in the garden. It blew hard all day & we hoped it would rain. At 5 Henry & I drove to Buyukdéré to pay some visits. Found Mme Mantilla at home & Mme Serkis. Had a very slight shower but the strong wind drove off the rain to my sorrow. We were alone at dinner. | |
