22 August 1879 — Therapia | |
Friday. 22nd [August 1879]. Wrote letters for the post. Was a long time fitting & trying my old pink dress wh is being renovated. Then B & I read. They all rode in the afternoon except Edward & I & we played tennis with some of the Secys. Afterwards he & I walked in the garden to see Jerry at his penal servitude. He was clearing a bit of ground from sticks & was in his flannel & trousers a little misery to look at! | |
