Monday. 25th [August 1879]. Blanche’s 31st birthday– Gave her some little presents & drank her health in the eveng. Poor M. Fourchon died this morng at 4. In the eveng Genl. Dickson & Capt. Swaine came in & we had a little waltz in the evening—I playing the piano. | |
