Wednesday. 29th [October 1879]. Went with the Thompsons to paint on the Buyukdéré road. Had a visit from Nazlie Khanum. Afterwards painted Jerry as it was too wet to go out. Mr St John & Mr Smijth dined. Just as we were going into dinner Munir Bey came to see Henry with a message from the Sultan but did not stay long. | |
